Meet the Family Behind the Ladle
Hi, my name is Angie, the founder of Two Ladle Soup. I guess you could say that my zen spot is in my kitchen. Whenever I’m feeling over-stressed or anxious, I take out my big stockpot and spend the afternoon making soup - meticulously hand-chopping each vegetable. It’s my time to slow down, to enjoy the process, to truly appreciate the land and the farmers that bless us with fresh ingredients.
Over the years I have meditated and prayed over many important decisions in my life while holding a ladle, stirring a big pot of my homemade soup.
Soup making has become a family affair, which makes me love making soup even more! My husband and three kids enjoy helping make soup together, although I suspect they enjoy eating it more. I believe there is a reason why soup tastes best made in big pots...so that it can be shared!
We have always packaged up the extra soup and shared it with friends and family, or donated it. Over time I had friends asking to buy my soup to put in their freezer or as a gift for one of their loved ones having health issues. That is when Two Ladle Soup Company was born. Why the name "Two Ladle Soup" ?
When I was trying to come up with a name, the idea of being able to share soup with loved ones kept coming up. It was my original mission to start a community celebrating homemade soup, getting a bowl of soup and at the same time being able to share a bowl of soup with a loved one. Hence the two ladles...one to keep, one to share.
Is your soup Organic?
Whether you enjoy our ready to eat soup or make an entire pot of soup yourself with one of our soup kits, you can be assured that only the highest quality ingredients were used.
We try to use mostly organic or locally sourced ingredients ~ that's why our soup tastes so good! If an ingredient comes in a can (tomatoes, beans), it is always going to be organic.
What is your "Get a Cup...Give a Cup Campaign" ?
We believe that everyone deserves to enjoy healthy and delicious soup...it warms the soul and feeds the body!
Two Ladle Soup has pledged that for EVERY cup, bowl, pot, or soup kit sold, a portion of the proceeds will go toward our annual Give a Cup campaign. The "Give a Cup" Campaign donates fresh soup and soup kits to persons, families, and organizations in need.

Why don't you sell your soup frozen or wholesale to restaurants?
We created Two Ladle Soup to form a community, to bring together those that love fresh, uncomplicated soup as we do. The best way to do that is to get out into the community and meet people face to face.
Two Ladle Soup is also a brand that stands for high quality, handmade soup. Most wholesale soup sold today is of low-quality ingredients, mass-produced and frozen. We are not willing to lower our standards or quality to participate in wholesale markets. But...we do love to collaborate with local cafes, coffee shops and concession stands for fundraising purposes and during our Give a Cup Campaign.
How we are helping bring homemade soup back to the family table:
- MADE FRESH ~ Our soup is made fresh and sold by the cup, bowl, or quart at local farmer's markets, special events, and fundraisers.
- YOUR POT, OUR STOCK ~ We also sell complete soup kits so that families can make an entire pot of soup to enjoy and share with loved ones.
- LET'S COOK TOGETHER ~ For those who want to learn to make delicious soup (or just looking for a reason to get together with loved ones) we offer Soup Making Classes which are so much fun...and every attendee takes home an entire pot of soup!

At this time we do not have a brick and mortar storefront. But we are actively raising funds to build a soup food trailer that will enable us to bring our soup to more people and expand our fundraising options for organizations.
